Visual Quadratics is a fully functional, interactive Windows program that visually demonstrates the functions and theory of quadratic equations. Select coefficients for the equation and VQ plots the graph, calculates the roots and shows the factors. Help and theory for each function are easily obtained by clicking highlighted text.
Requires VBRUN300.DLL in your WINDOWS\SYSTEM directory. If you do not already have VBRUN300.DLL in your WINDOWS\SYSTEM directory, you can download it for free from most major online services.
Running Visual Quadratics is easy. After unszipping, just double-click the .EXE file in File Manager or add the program to a group using Program Manager ("File," "New ..."). Once you are running, obtain help by clicking on the highlighted text for a subject or by selecting Help from the menu bar. You'll find that the program is simple to use and that all functions are intuitive.
This copy of Visual Quadratics is fully functional and has all the features of the registered version; however, you may only use it three times, without registering, before it becomes inactive. There is no limit on the length of time that you can use it each time, so plan your evaluation sessions when you have lots of time.
Two registration options are available: If you have a Compuserve account, register online by going to the Shareware Registration forum (GO:SWREG). The price will be added to your Compuserve account. Search by the Name, Title or by the Author's user ID (72152,567). In any case be sure that the author's ID matches. If you search by Author ID, a list of all SofTouch titles will be provided, some of which might also be of interest to you. If you are unable to register online or if you wish to purchase diskettes, open the Order Form in the Help menu, complete the requested information, print the form and mail it with your registration fee to the address on the order form. After you have completed the registration information online or mailed your registration form, within a few days of receipt of the information, we will send you a code by E-Mail. Select Registration from the Help menu and enter the code and a name in the text boxes. Visual Quadratics will be permanently enabled. Registration gives you the right to unlimited personal use.
If you are registering by mail and prefer to pay in a currency other than US, use the following conversion formulas: Canadian: US amount X current exchange rate. Other currencies: US amount X current exchange rate X 1.25.
